Currently a Consultant Clinical Psychologist, accredited Cognitive Behavioural Practitioner and university Honorary Lecturer, he offers services to people with a range of problems in their personal and professional lives including burnout, interpersonal and emotional difficulties.
For 21 years his role as Head of Psychology Services for a National Health Service Trust involved managing a large multi-disciplinary employee group, service and quality development. He provided advice and consultancy to board level executives and other senior personnel.
As Lead Assessor for the British Psychological Society, he was responsible for developing and maintaining professional standards in the recruitment and employment of psychologists, for the training of other assessors, and advised on issues of eligibility and work performance.
Conducting commissioned strategic service reviews has given him a special insight into the way in which personal relationships interact with broader organisational issues.
He has a particular interest in the impact of stress on people at work, especially at times of uncertainty. He has been involved in supporting employees during large scale organisational transitions and in developing stress management programmes.
