COURSE 3: OCTC DBT PRACTITIONER CERTIFICATE (9 DAYS + SUPERVISION)

For participants who wish to attain the OCTC DBT Practitioner Certificate, Course 3 builds on the previous courses and is suitable for those who wish to provide DBT interventions.
Course 3 includes the following modules:
COURSE 1: INTRODUCTION TO DBT
COURSE 2: PUTTING DBT INTO YOUR PRACTICE (5 DAY WORKSHOP, INCLUDING THE ONE DAY INTRODUCTION TO DBT)
There is a six month period during which participants take on at least one DBT client and also begin running a DBT skills group or teaching DBT skills individually. Six hours of supervision delivered by Skype or similar will be provided. Participants will be supported in choosing an appropriate client, preparation of the casebook and for the DBT exam. Unlimited e mail access to the trainer will be available.
Dr Fiona Kennedy is a respected and knowledgeable, fun trainer with a knack of making complex concepts accessible without losing their richness. She has edited the book “Cognitive Behavioural Approaches To The Understanding And Treatment Of Dissociation’ with Dr David Pearson and Dr Helen Kennerley, and written “Get Your Life Back: The Most Effective Therapies For A Better You”, which is a self help book integrating CBT, DBT, ACT and CFT. She has a special interest in trauma and dissociation
